Cosmopolites Mobile App

Cosmopolities mobile app has a social messaging location account that you the user can create to share location based messages. The content are not used for any other purpose. All material is encrypted while in transit and in storage on the backing data server. Those locations and messages are not used for other purposes nor shared with others other than your personal selected message recipients. You have the option to delete those messages, locations, or the account at any time. When the account is deleted, the stored messages with locations, and the group memberships are deleted also. The location and messages are never created without your consent.

Temporary logs are generated on the backing web server for the possibility of maintenance and are not identified with a user nor collected by Climb With Your Feet for long term use. Note that any use of location in android apps follows after you the user respond to a consent dialog that Cosmopolites will present to you.

Third Party service providers used by Cosmopolites are Google Mobile Ads (GMA) SDK for ads, the User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK for ad consent, Seat Geek for event listings, Google Maps SDK for Maps and Places, and Google YouTube Data API v3 for video search. The Android UMP API uses your coarse geographic location to check for geographic privacy laws such as CCPA and GDPR. Both Android UMP and Ad APIs, if given consent by your advertising settings on your device or registered by you with Google or by consent to a dialog in Cosmopolites, use an AD Id to provide personalization. The ad personalization is not enabled by default in Cosmopolites, but you the user can opt-in to that. If personalization is allowed, the device location might be used by GMA. The Ad Id is 0 if you've opted out of personalization. GMA and UMP are third party service providers that collect data such as the Ad Id. Note that Google advertising policies for teens are from filtered categories and are not personalized.

Regarding YouTube, the Cosmpolites mobile application offers the user the ability to search for the performers of an event using the YouTube Data API v3 service. Consent to YouTube Terms of Service is requested by the Cosmpolites mobile application when a user clicks to watch a video from the search results. The consent approval lasts for the duration of the Cosmopolites mobile app session (where a session is the time while the app is running, between a start and close). The approval can be changed on the Cosmopolites information page which can be found as the "i" icon at the far right of the bottom tabbar. If the approval is revoked, the YouTube consent query is shown again when a YouTube video is next selected in Cosmopolites.

With regards to Cosmopolites access to the mobile phone 'Email' and 'Text Messaging' applications, these are invoked by you the user to send invitations to others or email to the application's support address. Cosmopolites does not retain the phone numbers nor email addresses nor use them in any way except to form the messages properly, which you the user then review before you send in your chosen mail or text application.

Note that the iOS application is no longer maintained. It used City Grid services whose privacy and terms were/are here.
